The Town Board OK’d more than $600,000 for fire protection and emergency ambulance service for 2013.
The funding includes: $133,665 for the Angola Fire Co.; $251,575 for the Lake Erie Beach Fire Co.; $251,575 for the Evans Center Fire Co.; and $19,000 for emergency ambulance service from Highland Hose Fire Co.
Other service contracts awarded by the board include: $6,330 for Lake Shore Youth Baseball; $5,500 for Lake Shore Youth Football; $5,500 for the Lake Shore Youth Soccer Association; $2,250 for the Angola Public Library; $6,200 for Meals on Wheels for Western New York; and $40,000 to Community Concern of Western New York Inc., which provides services for the elderly.
The Town Board also: appointed Kenneth R. Kloss and Jeffrey L. DeVinney as town police officers; promoted Officer William J. Sills to a lieutenant in the Evans Police Department; appointed David Mosher as chairman of the town’s Conservation Committee; and appointed Michelle M. Parker and Town Attorney J. Grant Zajas as the town prosecutors.
Parker and Grant each will be paid $10,500 for 2013.
