The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus recently named Patrick J. Kilcullen chief financial officer. Kilcullen most recently served as vice president of finance and administration for Ciminelli Real Estate Corp. in Williamsville. He graduated from Niagara University.

The Breast Cancer Network of Western New York appointed Pamela K. Embury executive director. Embury graduated from the University at Buffalo and obtained a master’s degree from Antioch University. A two-time survivor, she was an advocate and counselor for Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization (now ABCD), Crisis Services, Roswell Park, and is currently involved in a number of national breast cancer projects.

Hiscock & Barclay promoted John P. Gaughan to partner. Gaughan, who joined the firm in 2001, is a St. Bonaventure University graduate and received his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University. In addition to his practice, Gaughan is also vice president of Buffalo Legacy Project, a not-for-profit entity bringing health and wellness resources to neighborhoods in need in Western New York.

Freed Maxick CPAs appointed Sanath B. Rajapakse senior manager in the Buffalo Enterprise Risk Management group. With more than 15 years of project management experience, Rajapakse, a certified project management professional and a certified information systems auditor, most recently was with KPMG for more than 12 years. He attended the University at Buffalo.

The Martin Group, a Buffalo-headquartered strategic branding and creative marketing agency, appointed Katherine Clark copy editor/proofreader and Jennifer Skop operations coordinator. Clark earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and a master’s degree from the University at Buffalo. Skop has 12 years of industry experience, having previously served as a senior accountant at Travers Collins and a staff accountant at the Wolf Group. In addition, the agency promoted Dave Riley to associate creative director, Rebecca Awald to senior art director, Lianne Coogan to art director, Nicole Zelazny to brand coordinator, and Janelle Kash to staff accountant/media buyer.

The Buffalo Niagara Builders Association honored Victor L. Peterson Jr. with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Peterson is chairman of the board at M.J. Peterson Corp. He has been a member of the BNBA for 45 years, serving on several leadership committees and participating in numerous home shows throughout the region. Peterson, a Michigan State University graduate, has led his family business, now in its fourth generation, for 54 years.

The Buffalo Medical Group welcomed Dr. Brian Matier, a colon rectal surgeon, to its professional staff. Matier completed a Colon & Rectal Surgery fellowship at the University of Buffalo. He is a graduate of Brock University and is a graduate of St. George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies.

The Eighth District Dental Society elected Dr. John J. Nasca Jr. president. Nasca has a private practice in Williamsville and serves as a clinical instructor for the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Other officers: president-elect, Dr. Joseph Modica; vice president, Dr. Michael Marrone; secretary, Dr. James A. Hoddick, and Dr. David R. Bonnevie will continue as treasurer.

Goldberg Segalla appointed Meghan M. Brown, Gary M. Phillips and Ryan G. Pitman associates in its Buffalo law office. Brown received bachelor’s degrees from the University of Rochester, a master’s degree from Columbia University and her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
