WESTFIELD – Planners working on the Grape Discovery Center met last week to discuss exhibits, themes and other issues.
“This was an exciting meeting,” said Andrew Dufresne, who is leading the committee working on the project. “We have been working with our consultants to develop the main theme and sub-themes of the displays, identifying targeted audience, clarifying goals and reviewing other considerations.”
The committee has selected four themes that will be a continuous thread through the center. It also is working on storylines for displays and has discussed possible interactive elements. An opening date has not been scheduled, but progress on the center can be followed on Facebook www.facebook.com/GrapeDiscoveryCenter.
Anyone interested in making a donation of artifacts, photos, or financial support should contact Dufrense at 386-4833 or the Grape Discovery Center, 8305 West Main Road, PO Box 194, Westfield, NY 14787.
