BINGHAMTON – Corey Cowick scored twice as the Binghamton Senators defeated the Rochester Americans, 5-1, before 2,711 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Luke Adam had the lone goal for the Amerks, tying the game in the first period. But Cowick’s second goal less than four minutes later put Binghamton ahead to stay.

David Leggio made 33 saves for the Amerks, 19-15-2-1, who host Syracuse Friday at Blue Cross Arena.
