MIDDLEBURY – An Oakfield man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after he allegedly fled from a one-car accident Sunday on Vernal Road near Dale Road.
Troopers located the driver, identified as Howard J. Roll, 29, a short time later at a residence on Bank Road in Middlebury. They were aided in the investigation by Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies.
Roll was charged with DWI, moving from a lane unsafely and failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of an address change.
Roll was taken to the state police barracks in Warsaw where a chemical breath test indicated his blood alcohol content level was 0.10 percent.
He was arraigned in town court and remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $500 bond.
