Information meetings on two vacant properties being sold by the Hamburg Central School District will take place next week.

The district has decided the parcels are of no educational use, and is hoping to raise money by selling them. They include 14 acres on Pleasant Avenue in the Town of Hamburg and 24 acres on Zimmerman Road in the Town of Boston. The minimum bid for the Pleasant Avenue site, which is in the vicinity of Forest Glen, is $168,000. The minimum bid for the Zimmerman Road parcel, which is adjacent to Boston Valley Elementary School, is $450,000.

The real estate development information meetings are set for 1 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the district administration building, 5305 Abbott Road. Another meeting will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday at Boston Valley Elementary, 7476 Back Creek Road.

Bids will be opened on at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at the administration building. Bid package information is available in the Business Office section of the school website at
