Chuck Bullough, the son of former Buffalo Bills’ head coach Hank and a graduate of Orchard Park High School, has been named the defensive coordinator of Syracuse University.

Bullough will work Scott Shafer, the new head coach of the Orange who replaced Doug Marrone when Marrone left to become coach of the Bills.

Bullough was All-Big Ten twice at Michigan State as a linebacker. He played for the Miami Dolphins from 1993 to 1995, and later moved into coaching. Bullough coached at Michigan State, the Chicago Bears, Lake Forest College, Western Michigan and UCLA. For the last two seasons, Bullough has served as a defensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns.
