No. 17 Niagara remained unbeaten in Atlantic Hockey with a 3-2 win at American International on Friday night in Springfield, Mass.

Hugo Turcotte’s goal with 8:45 left broke a 2-2 tie as the Purple Eagles (12-3-4) improved to 11-0-1 in league. Kevin Ryan and Chris Lochner also scored while Carsen Chubak made 24 saves.

The same two teams meet again tonight at 7.

In Bridgeport, Conn., Canisius (7-9-5, 6-4-2) scored four times in the second period en route to a 5-1 win over Sacred Heart. Freshman Stephen Miller scored his first two goals, classmate Chris Rumble made it 3-1 and sophomore Matthew Grazen of East Amherst capped the blitz with a short-handed goal. Kyle Gibbons also scored for the Griffs, who received 27 saves from Tony Capobianco. The same teams meet today at 4 p.m.
