Reject aid for Sandy until pork is removed

Our “representatives” should vote down the $51 billion package of aid until all the pork is taken out of it. I understand that the people who suffered from Hurricane Sandy need help now; it is long overdue. But someone has to have some common sense to see that half of the $51 billion is pure pork – help for fisheries, etc. It would be great if we could help out any and every need. But when you are working with a deficit budget, cuts have to be made. Let’s start the sad process now. It is not going to disappear without action!

What ever happened to the transparency that was promised? If the aid does not directly effect the people hurt by Sandy – emergency and recovery help – vote it down. Needless to say, we are in a vast cavern (deep hole doesn’t describe it anymore) with our deficit and trillions in debt. How can anyone approve a package where there are hidden items? This has to stop. Take on the phrase “What you see, is what you get,” when voting on any proposals.

Wake up! We are going downhill fast. We need to contact our representatives and tell them to do something now that will start to lower the debt. We cannot keep adding to it. We will all have to tighten our budgets. As it is now, it will go into our grandchildren’s lifetime. How sad is that?
