Syracuse goalie Dustin Tokarski stopped 28 shots as the Crunch defeated the Rochester Americans, 5-3, on Wednesday in Blue Cross Arena.

Mark Mancari, Luke Adam and Brian Flynn each scored for the Amerks, who are 17-14-2-1. Defenseman T.J. Brennan picked up an assist to run his team-leading scoring total to 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists).

David Leggio stopped 40 of 45 shots. Rochester played without Marcus Foligno and Cody Hodgson, who have been recalled by the Sabres.

Brett Connolly and Danick Gauthier each tallied a goal and an assist for the Crunch, who beat the Amerks for the first time in three tries.

The Amerks will host Hamilton at Blue Cross on Friday night at 7:05.
