BATAVIA – The City School District this week formally installed a new superintendent to oversee the system’s 2,400 students.
Christopher J. Dailey, a resident of Pittsford and former high school principal, succeeds Margaret L. Puzio, under whom he served as a deputy for the past year. He came to the city school system four years ago.
Dailey told the board his mission will be to “maintain and grow a rigorous teaching and learning community that provides every student with a sense of belonging while they grow emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.”
Because an administrator must be sworn in within five days of taking office, Daily took the oath a week ago. He will be paid $104,000 a year.
