Josh Kielich and Ryan Schmelzer both scored twice, while rookie call-ups Nick Smith and Nathan Sucese scored their first goals as the Buffalo Junior Sabres (29-11-3) routed Burlington, 14-2, in an Ontario Junior Hockey League game at Northtown Center.

Backup goalie Bobby Bloomfield made 18 saves for the win. Buffalo held a 43-20 edge in shots.

The Junior Sabres, ranked 10th in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League poll, return to action at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15 against Orangeville at the Northtown Center in Amherst.
