Marjorie Muchow, a longtime clerk at the W.T. Grant department store in Clarence, died Saturday in Georgia after a long illness. She was 90.

Initially a stay-at-home mother who baby-sat children in the Harris Hill section of Clarence, where she resided for decades, the former Marjorie Cummings later went to work at W.T. Grant in the store’s fabric department, relatives said.

Mrs. Muchow retired to Florida several years ago with her husband, Duane “Sam” Muchow, a Dunlop Tire retiree and World War II Navy veteran, whom she was married to for more than 60 years. Her hobbies included crocheting. She and her husband recently relocated to Georgia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Douglas and Larry.

A memorial service will be scheduled this spring in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Clarence.
