A Buffalo man was charged with assault, criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly slugged a woman during an argument in his apartment.

Zaid Haykal, 42, of Lower East Lane, also is accused of slapping the woman’s cellphone out of her hand and pushing her down a flight of stairs about 9 p.m. Monday, Buffalo police said.

Haykal caused a minor laceration to the woman’s forehead after punching her, according to a police report.
