A Buffalo man was charged Monday with first-degree assault and other counts in connection with the shooting of a man on Clinton Street last June, police reported.
Laquon B. Watkins, 20, was taken into custody in the 600 block of Main Street by Buffalo Police Officer Joseph Szafranski. He is accused of firing nine rounds June 15 toward his victim, striking him once in the wrist, in the 500 block of Clinton. The victim was treated at Erie County Medical Center.
Watkins also was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and first-degree criminal use of a firearm.
