As Mohawk Place (47 E. Mohawk St.), enters the final stretch toward its Jan. 12 closing ceremonies, it seems fitting that Buffalo’s own pre-eminent post-punk/hardcore ensemble Snapcase will reassemble for a pair of concerts tonight and Sunday. Special guests, among them area rapper Chae Hawk and up-and-coming hardcore outfit Young Suns, will join Snapcase during the pair of shows.

If you happened to be present when Snapcase broke its on-again/off-again hiatus (which has been in effect since 2005) to headline a show at the Outer Harbor last summer, then you know that Daryl Taberski, Jon Salemi, Frank Vicario, Dustin Perry and Timothy Redmond remain in prime fighting form.

Tickets for tonight’s show sold out in less than an hour when they went on sale a few weeks back, but $20 ducats for Sunday’s reprise gig – which commences at 7 p.m. – are available through Ticketmaster.com.
