BATAVIA – The new year brought the city school district a new superintendent, the third in the past five years.

Christopher J. Dailey succeeds Margaret L. Puzio ,who held the post for five years when she succeeded Richard G. Stutzman Jr.

Dailey has served as deputy superintendent for the past year, anticipating Puzio’s retirement. Before that he was principal of the high school for three years.

The Pittsford resident was sworn in this week, but the School Board will make it official at a meeting Tuesday at the Richmond Memorial Library.
