LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty Wednesday in Niagara County Court to taking part in the near-fatal gang beating of a man outside a Falls bar March 24.
Stefan Grabowski Jr., 23, of Niagara Street, admitted to second-degree assault and was scheduled for sentencing March 8 by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.
Defense attorney James J. Faso Jr. said Grabowski has a good chance at probation, but Farkas made no commitments. The maximum sentence is seven years in prison.
Witnesses said four or five men beat up Thomas Pembleton outside Club Ultra on Third Street, but so far only Grabowski has been charged.
