Theo Allen Scott, a former medical photographer and illustrator, died last Thursday in his East Side home. He was 92.

Mr. Scott was born in Valdosta, Ga., and moved to Buffalo at a young age. He graduated from Hutchinson-Central High School and served in the Army during World War II, surviving a poisonous snake attack in the jungles of the Philippines.

Mr. Scott worked as a medical photographer and illustrator at Veterans Administration Medical Center and then Children’s Hospital for 30 years before retiring in 1980.

His work also appeared in Modern Photography and other magazines, and it appeared locally in the Empire News and the Buffalo Criterion.

Mr. Scott was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for more than 70 years. He sang in the choir and served on the Usher Board.

He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles and computer games.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and son, Reginald.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah.

Services will be at noon today in H. Alfred Lewis Mortuary, 968 Jefferson Ave.
