Hunt Real Estate ERA appointed Cheryl O'Donnell broker consultant for its Amherst branch. O'Donnell, with 22 years of real estate experience, was previously with Hunt ERA as an associate broker with the Ken/Ton office from 1994 until 2004. She is a University at Buffalo graduate.

First Niagara Financial Group promoted Avi Patel chief marketing officer. Patel, who will continue to head First Niagara's retail product development and management group, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and holds NASD series 7, 66 and 24 licenses and the CAIA designation from The Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.

The University at Buffalo named Amy Johnson associate director of development and Timothy Paul assistant development officer for the School of Management. Johnson served as chief development officer at Girl Scouts of Western New York. She holds a bachelor's degree from Fredonia State College. Paul served as director of student-athlete academic support services at Canisius College. He holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Also, the University promoted John Prizner III to senior director of development for the School of Management. Prizner served as director of development for the School of Management. He is a Canisius College graduate and holds a master's degree from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication.

Independent Health appointed Michael Reilly president of its pharmacy benefit dimensions division. Reilly was vice president of practice management services for Catholic Health System of Buffalo. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and his MBA from UB School of Management.

The Martin Group, a Buffalo-headquartered strategic branding and creative marketing agency, appointed Jillian Fiorella brand manager/consumer engagement planner, Allison Crook brand manager/digital media strategist and Susan Hough senior art director. Fiorella is a graduate of Fordham University who served as an account supervisor for Eric Mower Associates. Crook, a graduate of Ithaca College, was a digital media manager at MediaVest based out of New York City. Hough was a creative supervisor at Eric Mower Associates and at Travers Collins & Company. She is a Buffalo State College graduate.

Key Equipment Finance, a bank-held equipment finance company and an affiliate of KeyCorp, promoted David Lempko to senior vice president and business bank sales director. Lempko has a bachelor's degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

M&T Bank appointed Bill Stamp branch manager at its Amherst location at 5225 Transit Road. Stamp served as assistant manager at the One M&T Plaza branch in Buffalo. He is a University at Buffalo graduate.

The SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator has welcomed STASH Sporting Goods as its latest tenant. The company, founded by Carol "Stash" Stanley in 1981, is the first incubator tenant founded by a Fredonia graduate. The company launched its third major product, LaceLocker, a footwear lace device for athletic shoes to make double knotting unnecessary.

Sasmita Batik Indonesia recently opened in the Market Arcade on Main Street in Buffalo. Owner Novi Paluch started her Indonesian batiks, jewelry and clothing business in a booth at the West Side Bazaar on Grant Street.
