GASPORT – About $1,000 worth of cigarettes were taken during a break-in overnight Friday at the Yellow Goose store on Rochester Road, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.

A front-door window was smashed and more than 100 packs of cigarettes, some lottery tickets and a tray of coins beneath a cash register stolen. An employee discovered the break-in, deputies said.

The loss was estimated at $1,550.
