The Buffalo Bandits continue to revamp their roster as they prepare for the start of the 2013 season.

The team announced the release of forward Brandon Francis, defender Travis Irving and goalie Angus Goodleaf as well as six other players Wednesday. Francis was signed by the team in 2007 and has been mostly used on faceoffs. Irving was a first-round choice of the team in 2010, while Goodleaf was a goaltender in Buffalo for three seasons.

Also dropped were forwards Travis Gibbons (Canisius College) and Jordan Daradick, transition players Mitch Barnard and Wenster Green, and defensemen Brendon Doran and Kyle Schmelzle.

Meanwhile, defenseman Billy Dee Smith is said to be working out the final details of a new contract with the team and should be joining the squad shortly.

The Bandits have more roster moves to make by Thursday in order to reach the 23-man roster limit.
