A Holland man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated early Wednesday, after a witness called authorities to report a possibly intoxicated man at a Town of Elma gas station, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The witness saw the driver, identified as Joseph B. Secord, 44, at a gas station on Bullis Road.
A sheriff’s deputy arrived and determined Secord seemed intoxicated. Secord was arrested and submitted to a breath test, which indicated his blood alcohol content was 0.26 percent, more than three times the legal limit, sheriff’s officials said. Secord was charged with aggravated DWI because his BAC was more than 0.18 percent.
