The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra appointed David Crane general manager. Crane was the general manager of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra since 2009 and was the orchestra manager of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra for 10 years. Crane has a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Also, BPO named Guy Tomassi major gifts officer. For the past six years, Tomassi has served as director of development at the University at Buffalo, College of Arts and Sciences. He is a Buffalo State College graduate.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center appointed Dr. Amarpreet Grewal Bath medical director of the new Niagara County Health Home. Bath, who is board certified in family medicine, is a graduate of St. Matthew's University School of Medicine, Belize. She served her family medicine residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Chicago, where she was chief resident.

Lake Shore Behavioral Health promoted Elizabeth Woike-Ganga to director of chemical dependency services. Woike-Ganga, who has been with the agency since 2004, was program director at the agency's Lower West Side Counseling clinic.

Lougen, Valenti, Bookbinder & Weintraub, an Amherst accounting firm, appointed Melissa A. Perez a staff accountant with the firm. Perez earned her bachelor's degree from Hamilton College and master's of education from the University at Buffalo and MBA from St. Bonaventure University.

Read to Succeed Buffalo appointed Wendy Montante director. Montante co-owned and operated j.w.Daigler Co., an on-line resource for stationery and paper goods, and has held a number of positions with Uniland Development Company. She holds a JD from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Read to Succeed Buffalo's board is led by chairman Joseph Castiglia, retired vice chairman, president and CEO of Pratt & Lambert; vice chair, Hal Payne, vice president of student affairs, Buffalo State College; secretary, Rev. Richard Stenhouse, executive director, Bethel Head Start; and treasurer, Marcia O'Neil-White, executive director, Buffalo Prep.

University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences named Dr. Osman Farooq assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. Farooq trained in pediatric neurology and clinical neurophysiology at UB and specializes in child neurology, epilepsy, EEG, and EMG. He will see patients primarily at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

Meals on Wheels for Western New York named Jean Berry a manager of site services. She will be responsible for the oversight of the agency's 21 delivery sites, site staff and more than 1,500 volunteers. Berry, who has 25 years of management experience, was most recently program director for HomeFront Inc. in Buffalo. She is a Fredonia State College graduate.

Synacor Inc., named Donna Rollins a staff accountant. Rollins previously worked as a general ledger accountant at Benderson Development Company. She is a University of Pennsylvania graduate and earned her master's degree from the University of Missouri. The company also appointed Alan Goodyear a senior solutions analyst. Goodyear previously worked as a project manager for ShoptoCook Inc. He is a Clarkson University graduate and earned his MBA at Stetson University. Also, the company named John Westendarp a NOC operator. Westendarp previously worked as a data center operator with Texas Health Resources.

The Buffalo City Mission named Kyle Patterson director of development. Most recently He will be responsible for building a major donor program, planned giving and grant writing. Patterson attended both Elim Bible Institute and Oral Roberts University.
