Each year, Duke's Bohemian Grove Bar (253 Allen St.), celebrates Hanukkah with its "Shalom to the Dome!" concert spectaculars. This year's show starts at 9 tonight and it's a doozie!

If you were in attendance the last time fusion guitarist supreme Allan Holdsworth brought his trio to the Tralf Music Hall, then you witnessed a brilliant opening set of progressive music from a band known as Marbin. That group Israeli-born guitarist Dani Rabin and saxophonist Danny Markovitch, plus their touring partners drummer Justyn Lawrence and bassist Jae Gentile offered a dizzying display of instrumental virtuosity in service of melodies and harmonies that spanned the globe. Jaw-droppingly complex, but also giddy, goofy, danceable and fun, the music of Marbin conjures an exotic form of joy in the listener.

What better Buffalo band to join forces with Marbin than our own ambassadors of the wonderfully weird, Peanut Brittle Satellite? Jaws will drop, minds will be blown, and good cheer will surely abound. DJ Drop D will be coaxing the party along with sets between bands, and well into the late evening/early morning afterward. Duke's will be serving a complimentary buffet of pastrami and matzo ball soup early in the evening. Call 240-9359.
