Chason Affinity Companies, which developed Collegiate Village on Eggert Road, has teamed with the University District Community Development Association to buy and remodel a home in the Kensington-Bailey area in Buffalo as part of an ongoing neighborhood improvement effort.

After buying a home on Eggert Road out of foreclosure and doing structural repairs for a total of $45,000, Chason donated it to the neighborhood association, which spent $40,000 to remodel it, the company noted at an event Thursday to celebrate the project.

The home was then sold, and proceeds were used to start a neighborhood improvement fund for the association.

Roseann Scibilia, executive director of the association, called the collaboration, “one of those partnership stories that we are seeing more and more of around Buffalo and Western New York.”
