Susan Measer, associate executive director at Canterbury Woods, a life care community, received designation as a certified aging services professional from the Coalition for Leadership in Aging Services. Measer, one of about 80 individuals nationwide to receive this designation, completed the program’s extensive required professional training and three examinations.


The Erie County Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Project presented Modesto Argenio an award for outstanding service in 2012. Argenio, a former senior attorney at Erie County Surrogate’s Court, is of counsel to the Stamm Law Firm in Williamsville.

Cardiology Group of Western New York recently opened its third office, in the Lakeshore Family Medicine building at 7060 Erie Road in Derby. Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport recently began delivering meals to the homebound through Meals on Wheels’ “Adopt-A-Route” program. The hotel’s employee volunteers coordinate weekly coverage among themselves with two volunteers delivering meals to up to 12 homebound community members.
