Stryker has updated the closing date for its Orchard Park operation, saying the facility will shut down Jan. 25.

Stryker a year ago announced it would close the plant, in the Quaker Centre Industrial Park, by the end of 2012. The extended shutdown date was listed in a notice the company filed with the state Labor Department.

Stryker acquired Gaymar Industries, a maker of medical devices, in 2010. The Orchard Park plant is for sale.
