The girl told officers the man, white and between 50 to 60, stopped the tan-colored car he was driving, got out and grabbed her by the arm until she pulled away yelling for him to let go. As she ran to her nearby school bus, the man left and drove away. The girl described the man as having a ring of brown hair and wearing a long dark brown jacket. She said he kept humming throughout the incident.
Police are still uncertain about the man’s intentions. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 1-800-222-8477 or go online to www.niagaratips.com. Police also remind the community of the importance of teaching children street-proofing techniques on how to avoid danger.
