WARSAW – A Rochester woman is being held in the Wyoming County Jail after she was charged with trying to bring prison contraband to an inmate she was visiting at the Attica Correctional Facility.

Yomarie Cosme, 36, was charged Monday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting prison contraband, according to state police.

Troopers said Cosme is accused of attempting to smuggle multiple balloon packages of heroin and marijuana into the inmate. She was arrested with help from prison corrections officers and the State Department of Corrections Inspector General’s Office.
