The Niagara hockey team moved up two spots in the national poll to No. 16 in the latest U.S. College Hockey Online rankings released Monday.

That’s Niagara’s best ranking in the poll since the Purple Eagles were 16th during the weeks of Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 during the 2006-07 season.

Niagara (10-2-3, 9-0-0), which is currently riding a nation-best 11-game unbeaten streak, will vie for its ninth straight win at 7 p.m. Wednesday when it faces Atlantic Hockey rival RIT at Dwyer Arena.
