CLYMER – A Virginia man arrested Sept. 28 near a national park outside Washington, D.C., and charged with the slaying a week earlier of Clymer School Superintendent Keith L. Reed Jr., is expected to be returned to Western New York next week to face a murder charge.

Anthony R. “Rob” Taglianetti, 42, of Woodbridge, Va., an ex-Marine and licensed hunter who allegedly became enraged by emails between his estranged wife and Reed, is accused of killing the superintendent.

Reed, 51, a divorcee engaged to be married to a New York State woman, was shot multiple times outside his home on Clymer-Sherman Road on the evening of Sept. 21. His body was found three days later.

Taglianetti has been held in a Prince William County, Va., jail since his arrest. He has passed on his last chance to fight extradition to New York, Chautauqua County District Attorney David W. Foley said today.
