A 35-year-old man was arrested early Sunday when security guards at a Jefferson Avenue bar found he was carrying a loaded gun, Buffalo police said.

Anthony L. Douglas Jr., of East Amherst Street, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.

C District police said they were flagged down about 2:45 a.m. Sunday by a security guard for Mike’s Lounge regarding a man with a gun. Security guards told police they took a .32-caliber Smith & Wesson from Douglas’ right front coat pocket. The security guards turned the weapon over to police.

Police said the gun was loaded with three live rounds. Another round was recovered from Douglas’s pants pocket when he was searched at the cell block, police said.
