Subversive Theatre and New Phoenix Theatre will hold auditions for the co-production of "On the Waterfront" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the New Phoenix Theatre on the Park (95 N. Johnson Park). Male actors of all ages, ethnicities and experience levels are sought. Auditioners should present two contrasting monologues. Actors may be asked to read from sides. Trimania 2013 is seeking artists in all media, including 2-D/3-D, film/video, installation, performance, sound/music, dance and interactive/participatory work to submit proposals for the April event. Submissions must include the artist's resume and statement, images and corresponding image list. The deadline for submissions is midnight Jan. 30. "Cocktails and Cream Puffs," a Buffalo-based gay comedy and pop culture podcast, has been nominated for the third consecutive year for the Best GLBT and overall People's Choice in the 2012 PodCast Awards. The podcast features local performers Joey Bucheker, Marc Sacco and Matthew Crehan Higgins.
