HANOVER – A Silver Creek woman had to be extricated from her car after it rolled over on Allegany Road about 3:03 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Maryjane Tundo, 48, was flown by Starflight to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for treatment.

Tundo apparently swerved from her lane, crossed the opposite lane of traffic and drove onto the shoulder of the road. But after pulling her car back across the road, she struck a guard rail and the car flipped over and rolled onto its roof, deputies said.

A male passenger, who was not identified, was taken to Lakeshore Hospital with what deputies described as very minor injuries. Tundo’s injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening and charges against her are pending, sheriff’s officials said.
