The Buffalo Bandits have acquired forward Derek Hopcroft from the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft.

Hopcroft has 29 points in 14 career NLL games with Colorado and Calgary. He has topped the 50-point mark in each of his four Major Series (Box) Lacrosse seasons in Ontario.

Also, the Bandits re-signed Brandon Francis, Mat Giles and Travis Irving. Francis will be starting his sixth season with the Bandits,

Three more players, Kyle Schmelzle (who played with the Bandits from 2006-10), Joe Smith (who last played with Buffalo in 2010) and former Canisius player Travis Gibbons (who attended the team’s free agent camp in November), signed with the team.
