The Buffalo Junior Sabres, ranked 10th among Canadian Junior Hockey League teams, completed the three wins in as many days on the road gauntlet with an 8-6 win at Hamilton.

Ryan Schmelzer’s goal broke a tie at 6 with 8:35 left for Buffalo (25-8-2), winners of four straight. Brian Ruff added an insurance goal at 16:05.

Josh Kielich recorded three assists, while rookie goalie Bobby Bloomfield made 34 saves to improve to 5-2 on the season.

The Junior Sabres return to action at 7:30 p.m. Monday against St. Michael’s at the Northtown Center in Amherst.
