LEWISTON – A group of binational authors will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lewiston Public Library to sign copies of their new book celebrating 200 years of peace between Canada and the U.S.
“From the Mouth of the Lower Niagara River, Stories of Four Historic Communities” features history, anecdotes and photos from Lewiston and Youngstown, as well as from Queenston and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont.
Proceeds from the sales of the book benefit the Historical Association of Lewiston, the Town of Porter Historical Society and the Niagara Historical Society and Museum in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The book was published last month, with financial help from the Niagara River Greenway Commission and Niagara Falls Bridge Commission. It will be sold Wednesday at the library and more than 20 other locations throughout Niagara and Erie counties, as well as at www.buffalobooks.com.
