The Buffalo Junior Sabres are one win away from completing the three wins in as many days on the road gauntlet after scoring the first five goals of the game during a 7-3 triumph at Milton (Ont.) in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Tyler Gjurich scored twice to eclipse the 30-goal mark, while Pat Egan also scored two goals. Goalie Parker Gahagen finished with 32 saves for Buffalo (24-8-2), which visits Hamilton tonight. Gahagen made 33 saves in earning his seventh shutout of the season in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Georgetown (Ont.).

In other news, the Junior Sabres’ home game slated for Tuesday against Toronto has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at Northtown Center. During that contest, the team will hold its second annual “Teddy Bear Toss.” Fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped teddy bear to throw on the ice when Buffalo scores its first goal. All toys collected will be passed out by the Sabres Alumni to families in need during the holiday season.
