A driver who said he was fleeing a man with a knife lost control of his car and struck houses at 242 and 244 Roslyn Street early Saturday evening, Northeast District police reported.

Two men and a woman became embroiled in a heated argument in a Roslyn Street home about 6:05 p.m., with one of the men grabbing a kitchen knife and chasing the other two people through the house and outdoors, threatening to kill them. The man being chased jumped into his car and lost control as he tried to speed away, striking the houses. The man with the knife left in a black Cadillac, heading south on Roslyn Street, police said.
