Two lengths of cooper water pipe were removed Sunday from a home at 100 Reiman St., causing water to flood the rear of the house and damage floors, Ferry-Fillmore District police said.

The damage was reported in the early afternoon, but the water may have been running since midnight, according to a tenant who was planning to move out of the house anyway. The landlord could not be located and there was no water shut-off valve easily accessible, officers said.
