A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arraigned Friday on murder and robbery charges in the Nov. 10 shooting death of a Lockport man in Buffalo’s Riverside area.
Charles Tubbins of Kenmore Avenue was arrested Thursday night, prosecutor Gary W. Hackbush said.
Rashiene T. Carson, 24, of Lockport was a rear-seat passenger in a car parked in a Getty gas station lot at 595 Ontario St. at about 12:50 a.m. when he was shot, police said.
Tubbins fatally shot Carson during the course of a robbery at the gas station, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
Tubbins faces two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Tubbins, who appeared before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia, was sent to the Erie County Holding Center without bail.
He faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
