An Amherst man and his girlfriend were charged with felony possession of about four pounds of marijuana after Amherst Police narcotics detectives raided a Buckeye Road home and uncovered a “sophisticated, moderate-sized marijuana grow operation,” Apolice said.

Bobby J. Paquette, 31, the homeowner, and Kathryn Kempisty, 22, were arrested after the grow operation was found in the basement and garage, said police, who added that they found 36 marijuana plants up to about 3 feet tall.
