NORTH TONAWANDA – The ninth annual Winter Walk, which unfolds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today in the cities of North Tonawanda and Tonawanda, features gingerbread house building at Crazy Jakes, wine tasting at Frank’s Liquors, a free “Sound of Music” matinee and Santa appearances.
Kelly Gromlovits, co-chairwoman of the event, said 25 businesses from Webster Street in North Tonawanda to Main Street in Tonawanda are participating.
Other offerings include the Riviera Theatre’s showing of the “Sound of Music” at 2 p.m. today and Sunday. At the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum on Thompson Street, Santa will ride the merry-go-round. And, at Carnegie Arts Center, 240 Goundry St., activities include art-making projects and a 3:30 p.m. puppet show.
