The Buffalo Bandits open their preseason training on Saturday at the First Niagara Center. They added two more new faces to their roster in preparation for the upcoming season.

The team signed Mitch Barnard and Jordan Daradick to one-year agreements. Barnard played college lacrosse at Adrian, and could fit in as a transition player and faceoff man. Daradick is from Welland, Ont., and played at the University of Guelph. He was one of Canada’s top scorers while playing the outdoor game at Guelph.

Meanwhile, veterans Scott Self and Mark Steenhuis have been placed on the physically unable to perform list. According to the team, Self is recovering from offseason surgery and may miss the first two weeks of the season. Steenhuis has not completely recovered from an injury, and surgery is said to be a possibility.

Meanwhile, Calgary has signed its first-round draft choice, Hamburg’s Joe Resetarits.
