A Niagara Street man was charged with first-degree robbery Wednesday and accused of participating in the daytime armed robbery last week of a Vandelia Street home, Buffalo police reported.
Angel Luis Penalosa-Castro, 32, was taken into custody by Officers Robert Eloff and Brian Britzzalaro on South Park Avenue about 4:35 p.m., following an investigation that continues. Police said they are looking for Penalosa-Castro’s accomplice.
Meanwhile, Penalosa-Castro is accused of forcing his way into the residence during the gunpoint and knifepoint robbery with an accomplice shortly before noon Nov. 20. He is accused of robbing a $300 pistol and $5 cash, and damaging a safe while demanding property from the victims.
In addition to first-degree robbery, he is charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief, police said.
