CUBA – A 71-year-old Rushford woman was killed when the car she was a passenger in was struck by an allegedly drunk driver over the weekend, Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch said Monday.

Police arrested William Felicetti, 46, of Niagara Falls on charges of failure to yield and driving while intoxicated.

Investigators said that at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Felicetti failed to yield at a yield sign and crashed head-on into a car driven by Kenneth McElheny, 50, of Rushford.

A woman who was in McElheny’s vehicle was flown to Erie County Medical Center where she died of her injuries. Police did not release her name.

Felicetti and McElheny were taken to Olean General Hospital, where they were released after treatment.

Burch said more charges are pending against Felicetti.
