The School Related Professionals Union of the Grand Island School District will vote on a tentative new three-year contract Dec. 6 that is retroactive to July 1.
Union president Linda Lichtenthal, a bus driver and cafeteria monitor, gave a presentation at Monday’s School Board meeting about all the support workers. Included are employees working in transportation, buildings and grounds and school cafeterias as well as custodial, clerical, technical support, library and nursing staffers.
Board President David Goris said the SRP members “cover A to Z and are critical to the district’s success.”
