NIAGARA FALLS – Jewelry worth more than $7,000 was stolen early Saturday during a burglary at a Michigan Avenue home, Niagara Falls police said.

The home was entered through an unlocked front door between midnight and 3 a.m., while residents were out, police said. The thief removed several watches and bracelets from a bedroom dresser, then flipped over mattresses in two bedrooms before fleeing, police added.
