LOCKPORT – The Erie Canal Discovery Center, Church and Ontario streets, will host a local book and authors fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Several authors from Niagara and Erie counties will be on hand to sign copies of their books and chat with visitors.

At 11 a.m., Terry Bourgeois will read from his book “It Must Be True, I Heard It At The Zoo.” All proceedws from the sale of the book will be donated to Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s Carly’s Club.

Author Carol Caisse, along with her son and illustrator, Ryan Caisse, will present their first book, “Jake Grape & the Snake,” at 11:30 and unveil the new “Jake Grape’s Cool Yule” coloring and activity book. Free sample pages will be available for children to color.

Ron Mazzarella will read from “There’s a Whale in the Canal” at 12:30 p.m. At 1:30, David H. Brown will speak and read from his book, “The Elusive Chauffeur.” Other authors on hand throughout the day include Beverly Blewett, John Hall, Dick Gallagher, Brandon Stickney, Madelynn Fredrickson, Gary Earl Ross, Theodore Kirkland, and Craig Bacon.
